PROFILE

Louis learnt his trade the hard way, playing League cricket with seasoned veterans when he was just into High School - and while the early years of drinking may have messed with his brain in some ways, it certainly improved him as a cricketer.

Still good enough to make many a first team League side, he was also plucked from obscurity at the start of the 2009/10 season - and immediately made his mark with a half-century in the first game. It proved a sign of things to come as he disposed of the Cooper brothers as leading run scorer that season, despite playing way less games.

An excellent fielder, he used to be a fiery bowler with a mean inducker as well - until a fateful day at Mutual when he had a mental meltdown and broke the Rollers' record for most extras in an over - four wides and seven no-balls (not front foot, over the batsman's head) before the umpire took pity.

However, some serious pre-season preparation means he has rediscovered his old touch - until the next brain fart.
