PROFILE

Perfectly fits the description 'Dibbly dobbler' with his gentle away swingers, but Casper has been the scurge of many a league batsman. A wicket is usually followed by a muttering along the lines of 'Ek kan nie glo ek is uit op daai kak nie'.

But 'daai kak' saw him pick up a Rollers record 23 wickets in 2008/09 at 11.6 per scalp - and the Player of the Season award.

Casper earned his Rollers cap the hard way, sitting on the sidelines - dop in the hand and braaing hot dogs - before eventually getting his chance against Scorpions almost five years ago.

He has not looked back since, becoming a core member of the Rollers side, complementing his bowling with some lusty blows - a bit of a 'happy hooker' - and solid fielding.

Along with Haas Englebrecht, the unofficial captain of the Rollers drinking team.
