One of the long-lost sons of the Koeberg Cricket Club days was brought home midway during the 2009/10 season - and opposing batsmen are still hating whoever the genius was who coaxed him into joining the Rollers.

Some serious gym work since we last saw him means Nellie is now a country mile quicker than anyone in the Friendly Cricketers Association, but fortunately he is a nice enough guy to pitch it up - except when some cocky Action Cricket player bounces him ... and gives him the stare.

Produced one of Rollers cricket most infamous quotes - playing at Brackenfell, he hit a batsman plumb in front. But before any appeal was made, said batsman murmured: 'Eina, dit maak tot seer deur my pads...'

Oh, also a more than useful batsman and very sharp fielder.
