A former Northern Transvaal (yup, he's that old) Schools opening bowler, 'Arnie' has found his niche in his later years, becoming one of the finest wicket-keeper in the Friendly Cricketers' Association. Has the distinction of being one of the few (if not only) keepers to have been called for a no-ball because his 'cap was encroaching on the batsman's crease'.
He still bowls a bit of away-swing every now and again, but lost a lot of street cred against Mutual when shouting 'O fok' with the ball halfway down the pitch. It was subsequently smashed for four.
But it is for his batting that Coop deVille DeLux is best known - a flamboyant stroke-player who hooks as easily as Divine Brown and loves a crack through the covers as well.
One of the Rollers' Rum Brigade, he is also the vice-captain of the team.
