A Roller makes a plan

For those of you unfamiliar with the name Pierre Marais, he is a honourary Roller and legend of the old Koeberg days.

As Dave Hillman noted in his penpic about Pierre, "An experienced opening bat who fearlessly took on young quicks without wearing a helmet and in the process earning the nickname 'Noddy' after taking three balls in one over on the head. And he lives to tell the tale."

Noddy, the uncle of that prodigious (wasted) talent that is Robin Marais, now resides in Bristol in England, but showed the Rollers ingenuity is still strong in his blood.

He is the one second from left in the pic above, and below is a pic of their cooler box at their ‘braai’.
